Beacon House is located next to a working beef farm and horse trekking centre. The rare Brown Teal are a common sight in this area. From our deck we look down to the longest footbridge in the southern hemisphere, across the sandspit and out to the Poor Knight Islands.
Visit Whananaki Village, a naturally photogenic sea side settlement of authentic Kiwi baches (beach houses) clustered around a pristine estuary and sand spit.
In the village we have a shop / takeaway, a village hall, an emergency centre, boat ramp, landing strip for small aircraft and a library.
Here you can swim, surf, snorkel, sail, kayak, fish, horse ride, walk or just relax and enjoy the wonderful views.
